Spirit provides a unique employment experience, and offers professional sailors an extraordinary opportunity to live and work on board a traditionally built and rigged tall ship whose home port is in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC. We hold our employees to high standards. Crew members are expected to be personable, team and community-oriented, responsible, and show enthusiasm for carrying out the mission of the organization. As part of our crew, you will  experience adventure aboard a traditional sailing vessel.

We are currently seeking a licensed Captain, first mate, and 4 volunteer deckhands with prior crew experience to run the ship for programming in 2023.
